Therefore, aim of this systematic review with meta-analysis is to investigate the potency of sports specific and general warm-up program in preventing injury and enhancing physical performance in athletes. Method: A computerized search was conducted for eligible studies using the following databases: Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, PubMed Central, Google Scholar and Science Direct from Dec 2008- Jan 2019. A protocol in accordance with PRISMA was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42019119030). <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>Results: The pooled results were based on total injuries per 1000h of exposure involve the FIFA 11+ and FIFA 11. Statistically signi\ufb01cant\u00a0 reduction in overall injury risk ratio [IRR] of 0.59 (95% CI: 0.39 to 0.88; P=0.01) found if FIFA11+ and FIFA 11 is used as warm up exercise. Physical performance parameters such as agility (MD = \u22120.60; 95% CI: (-1.17) \u2013 (-0.03); p=0.04) and 20m sprint (MD = \u22120.27; 95% CI: \u20130.47 to \u20130.07; P=0.007) also showed significant improvement. There was statistically significant reduction found in region specific lower extremity for knee (IRR=0.47), for ankle (IRR=0.62), and for hip\/groin (IRR=0.57) for FIFA 11+ and FIFA 11.
